As you can see in the after photo, we transformed that frosty, forgotten space into a clean, insulated haven with CleanSpace vapor barrier, SilverGlo insulation, and supported the structure with robust SmartJack supports. Now, the once cold crawl space is a pillar of warmth and stability, showcasing our mission to not only solve our customer's problems but also offer them a remarkable and lasting solution.

The problem: The client found that she had humidity coming from her crawl space, the windows were often fogged up. In addition, she told us during the inspection that her dehumidifier worked all year round and that was not a good sign.

The solution: For this project, they used CleanSpace and a smartsump in order to considerably reduce the humidity level in this crawl space. They also installed a discharge line with an Iceguard so that the water could be redirected even in winter.

Our client identified a humidity problem in his crawl space and wanted a permanent solution. He contacted our company after a brief search on the internet.

Our specialist has performed an assessment and recommended a three-tier solution.

A CleanSpace to isolate the earth and the humidity it releases from the rest of the crawl space. SilverGlo insulate the foundation walls and SaniDry to continuously reduce the relative humidity.

This crawl space in Victoriaville was very damp and filled with mold.

Our client knew that he needed to encapsulate it since the air inside was flowing into the upper house, and mold growth was increasing.

Part of keeping your crawl space dry involves installing a CleanSpace water vapor and a SaniDry humidifier.

The CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system is a high-duty 7-Layer liner material, like a pool liner. It gets installed across the floor and up the walls in order to stop all water vapor from the walls or soil.

Once the Cleanspace is installed, we needed to install the SaniDry dehumidification system. This system comes in a lower height unit specially made for crawl spaces.

Mr. Dallaire has lived in his house since 2008. Over time, he noticed that the humidity level in his house was very high, a foul odor was present in the rooms of the house and there were traces of mold in some area of the place.He contacted Systèmes Sous-sol Québec, because he was no longer comfortable in his house and wanted to fix the situation quickly.

Mr. Dallaire had never been in his crawl space since he bought the house and yet it was the cause of all his problems.

Our experts went to the site to isolate the crawl space.

1. They first installed SilverGlo insulation panels on the crawl space walls.

2. Next they installed 3/4 inch TerraBlock insulation sheets. These sheets are installed on the ground and adjust according to the ground and will  insulate the crawl space. SilverGlo Panels and Terrablock Sheets combined together are the ideal option for achieving the best possible energy efficiency. You will keep the cold outside and the heat inside your crawl space!

3. To finalize the whole thing, they put our CleanSpace membrane to cover and protect the Terrablock and thus provide an isolated and dry environment.

With this solution, the customer was able to notice very quickly that the humidity in his house had decreased considerably and the unpleasant smell was gone. Not to mention that he now had a clean, dry crawl space!
