Water was getting under the stoop due to a gap in the concrete and there is a tripping hazard on the sidewalk leading to the stoop. This customer knew If water continued to seep under the stoop, it could lead to more settling problems with the stoop and nearby concrete. To fix these issues for our customer, we usedPolylevel and NexusPro. These helped us seal the gaps and lift the concrete to its original position, 

Using PolyLevel, we filled the voids beneath this homes driveway slabs to make them level again. We also sealed cracks and joints with to help protect the concrete from sinking again. The homeowner was happy to know that the trip hazards in her driveway has been repaired, and that she could avoid the cost of replacing her driveway.

Marcia D. in Johnston, IA, was experiencing extreme settling in the front entrance of her house. The concrete steps had sunk, and the slab leading to the slabs had a void underneath from soil washout, a problem we often see. After recommendations from those closest to her, she quickly called us to provide a permanent concrete repair solution. 

Our crews arrived at the home in Johnston, IA, and installed our 2-part concrete protection system. It consists of our PolyLevel lifting foam to stabilize and level the staircase and slabs and our NexusPro sealer to caulk all cracks and control joints. The two solutions ensure that the concrete remains level and sealed properly to avoid this in the future. 

This customer lives here with his family but he is also a home host for a disabled child which is why he wanted to get his sidewalk fixed. He didn’t want his children and wife to trip and get hurt on the sidewalk up to the house. We fixed the problem by lifting and leaving the concrete with our PolyLevel foam. We then sealed up their control joints with NexusPro sealant to prevent water and rocks from getting in the joints. 

The sidewalk to the home of this couple was getting so bad it was becoming an extreme trip hazard for family and friends who wanted to visit. They had been Thrasher customers before, they knew of our reputation and loved the great quality work they received in the past, so they called us back up. Jordan Mullen, one of our System Design Specialists, went out to meet them. Jordan found they had a downspout right on the corner of their home that was dumping water right onto the sidewalk, which caused the soil the wash away from under the sidewalk. This caused the sidewalk to break away from each other and settle. To fix these issues, we buried the downspout out into the yard, so it wouldn't continue to dump water onto the sidewalk. Then we lifted and leveled the sidewalk to the home, using our Polylevel, and sealed all the joints and cracks with nexus pro. These homeowners were very pleased with the work done, and are planning on calling Thrasher again for all of their foundation, waterproofing, and concrete needs.
