This homeowner didn't have any settled concrete problems, but when he saw his neighbor's huge settlement issue solved by us, he decided that he wanted to prevent his concrete from having the same problem. He researched solutions to prevent concrete settlement, and when he saw our solutions were long lasting, he gave us a call.
We sent System Design Specialist Anthony Salcedo to inspect the joints of this homeowner's driveway to determine what joints needed to be sealed the most in order to prevent concrete settlement. Anthony found that the expansion joint on the concrete as well as a few other smaller joints near the garage needed to be sealed properly in order to avoid this settlement problem. After discussing which concrete joints were the most troublesome for the homeowner, Anthony worked using NexusPro Sealant to seal off the troublesome joints in the concrete.
The homeowner was extremely happy with the installation and he was very happy with the communication leading up to and following his appointment. Check out his newly sealed concrete joints!
This homeowner wanted to fix the eye sore leading up to his front door as well as a bump that had formed at the entrance of his driveway. He liked the solutions that he saw we offered online, so he decided to give us a call. We sent System Design Specialist Jeremy Sund to inspect the concrete and determine what solutions we could offer to solve the eye sore and driveway bump. Jeremy found that the concrete had settled on the driveway and sidewalk due to poor soil compaction and wash out of this soil underneath the concrete. After discussing our 3-part Concrete Protection System with the homeowner, he was thrilled that we could solve this problem. One of our concrete installation teams came to this house and utilized our 3-part Concrete Protection System included PolyLevel Concrete Leveling, NexusPro Cracked Concrete Repair, and SealantPro Concrete Sealing. This system helps to lift, level, seal, and prevent any future problems of concrete settlement, pitting, and flaking. The homeowner really liked this solution and the quality of service he received. This homeowner was worried about his step settling. He knew his HOA would want him to get it fixed sooner than later, and he was also worried about trip hazards. He did not like the eye sore and wanted to find the right company to help him. He called Thrasher and System Design Specialist, Jeremy Sund, came out to meet with him. After the inspection, Jeremy found there was poor soil compaction around the home, leading to settling in his front steps and sidewalk. This also caused voids, leaving little to no support for the concrete slabs. Jeremy proposed we use our PolyLevel and NexusPro to lift the settled areas, fill the voids, and seal all the cracks and joints to prevent water from causing more washout. The homeowner was so happy with the finished product, and appreciated our urgency to get this done for him. There is no doubt this homeowner is worrying no more about his front steps! Check out the before and after on this one!
Bill was concerned with his flagstone patio sinking. He was worried that water would pool up and freeze during the winter, which could cause foundation problems once melted. The thick concrete slab was beginning to sink due to loose backfill soil and not having the joint between the home and the slab sealed. This caused water to pool and soften the soil around the concrete, ultimately causing the sinking.
For this project, we were able to lift the slab 3" using PolyLevel as well as sealing the joints with NexusPro. This will prevent future issues of water from getting under the flagstone patio. Bill was ecstatic with the results and believed the crew exceeded his expectations and the slab is now perfect!
This homeowner was done with mudjacking. They had gotten their driveway done and a year later their problems were back. They wanted a permanent solution that could address the cracking and sinking of their driveway. Not only was this a trip hazard, but they saw it as an eyesore. They knew of Thrasher and how we offer permanent solutions. They liked the idea of our PolyLevel and knew we would stand behind the work that was completed. One of our System Design Specialists, Rob Griffin, went out to meet with them. He explained that due to loose fill soil, the concrete on the front of their home was experiencing the sinking and cracking. Rob proposed we use the waterproof PolyLevel foam to lift the sinking concrete, as well as Nexus Pro to fix the cracks, and a compression guard to reduce the street creep cracking. The customers loved how the PolyLevel was waterproof, and would not wash away after a year like mudjacking. They also were very happy with how the crew completed the work as promised. There is no doubt that these homeowners have peace of mind for all of the concrete in front of their home.
