This homeowner has only lived in her home for a year ad a half, but her concrete is already filing in many areas. She wants to get this fixed to protect her investment and increase the home's curb appeal. The problem was that the soil around her home started to shift, which caused slabs near the garage to sink into the earth. Slabs can sink for many reasons: a lack of compaction, soil drying out, or excess moisture. Our team used PolyLevel to lift and level the areas that had sunk. We then used NexusPro on all the joints and cracks in the rest of the driveway and patio.
This homeowner has a lot of elderly visitors and did not want her walkway and front patio to be a tripping hazard. She called Thrasher and System Design Specialist, Jeff Schlimm, came out to help her. Jeff found the patio was sinking due to washout over time. We were able to help by using PolyLevel and NexusPro to lift, level and stabilize the slabs and sealing off the joints. These products are both waterproof, preventing any washout in the future. This homeowner was tired of fixing cracks in the drywall and didn't want trip hazards on the concrete. Structurally, he had no idea what was going on with his home. We discovered that these issues were happening because of street creep. Street creep occurs when the concrete street expands during the hot months, putting excess pressure on the driveway on subsequently, the foundation. to fight back against street creep, we installed a CompressionGuard into the driveway!
Our customer had a problem with water flooding their garage. The garage turned into a mini swimming pool, and they were tired of trying to push the water out. They asked Thrasher for help to solve this issue.
The problem was that the garage wasn't built properly. When the concrete was poured, it made a bump that didn't let the water drain correctly. This caused our customer's things to constantly get wet.
So, our team came up with a clever plan. We lifted the concrete floor in the garage using Polylevel foam. This made a gentle slope inside the garage, so the water would flow to the middle and could drain out.
By changing the concrete floor, we made our customer's garage a dry and welcoming place. Now they don't have to worry about their things getting wet. If you ever have water problems in your garage, give us a call at 1-800-328-0816.
This homeowner was looking to remodel his home, and he wanted to ensure that his floor was secure before he could fix anything else. He knew there was a gap between the flooring and the walls that the carpet was hiding, so he decided to give us a call for a free inspection.
We sent System Design Specialist Anthony Salcedo to inspect the issue and propose a comprehensive solution for this homeowner. Anthony noticed that the area of the home rested on a concrete slab, which had settled overtime, causing the gap between the floor and walls as well as the struggles with sticking doors. He proposed a solution that made the homeowner quite excited to continue with us. Anthony and his team utilized PolyLevel Concrete Leveling on the full area in the interior of the home. This would allow the home to return to its original level.
The homeowner was extremely impressed with the finished project and now he can remodel his home without worry. Check out the raised concrete!
