We encapsulated the crawl space by installing drainage matting to control the groundwater, and then our CleanSpace vapor barrier on top to seal out the moisture. CleanSpace with Drainage Matting was installed across the entire crawlspace. Drainage Matting is laid down first to elevate the CleanSpace and with its dimpled design, Drainage Matting helps to channel any groundwater to a sump. CleanSpace was installed and attached to the crawl space walls to encapsulate the area. CleanSpace is an inorganic and durable vapor barrier that keeps moisture and small critters out while turning the crawlspace into a perfect area for storage. We also installed a SuperSump Plus which pumps water out of the basement through an Exterior Buried Discharge line and takes the water far away from the home. The whole system is protected against ice buildup during winter with the installation of IceGuard on the Discharge line. This ensures that the system will always run, preventing flooding when snow melts. To finish out the waterproofing system, a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was installed to keep the humidity in the crawlspace at a safe level, preventing musty smells and mold growth. Now the homeowner is happy that they have a dry, usable space!
