They were getting water leaking in from multiple places. They had an existing sump pump that wasn’t doing much. We were able to waterproof everything and give them a new sump pump system. We used WaterGuard TM because they had a nontraditional footing, a MPS lateral line, a Triple-safe sump system and full cleanspace. They want to be confident the basement stays dry.
Steve S. was tired of having a musty smell in his basement. Water would be constantly coming into his crawl space, keeping it wet and allowing it to smell. Concerned with other problems this would cause, he decided to give Midwest a call.
The Midwest crew went out to the home and was able to come up with a solution to keep the crawl space dry. Drainage matting was installed on the floor and then the whole space was encapsulated with CleanSpace, a very thick linear to keep water from coming in through the walls and floor. A sump pump was put in to then water could be directed out of the crawl space and a dehumidifier was installed to keep the humidity levels low.
This homeowner was struggling with moisture coming through her foundation walls in her basement. She knew that the longer this problem continued, the more problems it would cause to her home, so she decided to give us a call due to our different waterproofing and encapsulation solutions.
We sent System Design Specialist James Denning to inspect the basement walls and determine what had been causing the moisture to leak through the foundation, as well as suggest a comprehensive solution to solve this homeowner's moisture problem. James found that moisture was coming through the walls due to no proper system to control the moisture or air quality in the basement. After discovering this, James suggested the solutions of encapsulation to prevent moisture from getting in the basement, and the homeowner loved the idea. We sent one of our installation teams to install WaterGuard Interior Drainage System and CleanSpace Vapor Barrier all around the basement to effectively encapsulate and properly drain any water that could be in the basement.
The homeowner was very happy to know that she could finish the basement without worrying about moisture problems on her walls. Check our the newly waterproofed and encapsulated basement!
This homeowner was getting water into his basement again and didn't want it to ruin his furniture or storage area. He had waterproofing done before, but wanted his remaining areas of his basement waterproofed. He called Midwest and System Design Specialist, Elliot Christians, came out to meet with them. After an inspection, Elliot proposed we use a full height of CleanSpace and WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement. CleanSpace is used as a barrier between the wall and basement. It is a very sturdy tarp like material that is very hard to tear. If water comes through the walls through cracks or joints, it will trickle down the CleanSpace and into the WaterGuard. WaterGuard is our drainage system that will then flow the water into the sump pump and out of the home at a safe distance. Great thing about interior waterproofing is when any water finds its way in, it redirects it back out of the home, so you can still have a fully finished basement! This homeowner was tired of moisture on her basement walls making her basement look dirty. She has used our company for years, so she gave us a call.
We sent Service Technician Braydon Aker to inspect the walls and determine the reason why moisture was on the walls so that he could give the best solution for this problem. Braydon found that moisture was coming in through the concrete blocks leaving efflorescence and water stains which made the walls look dirty. To give the homeowner a clean look in addition to trapping all of the moisture behind the wall, Braydon installed a CleanSpace Basement Wall Vapor Barrier to protect the homeowner's walls.
The homeowner was so happy with how clean the product looks. Check out her new wall vapor barrier!
