This homeowner had water in his basement, but no way of pumping the water out. He was tired of cleaning up the water himself, and he knew that he wanted to use the basement space in the future, so when he saw our services on TV, he gave us a call.
We sent System Design Specialist Todd King to inspect the basement and determine where the water was getting in as well as solve this water problem. Todd found that water was coming in through the cold joints and was causing pressure on the walls. He discussed the need for additional wall support with the homeowner, and the homeowner agreed that he needed to fix his basement problems soon.
One of our installation teams came to the house and started off by utilizing a full perimeter WaterGuard Interior Drainage System, a Lateral Line, and a partial height CleanSpace Vapor Barrier to keep water contained and off the basement floors. Then, the team installed a TripleSafe Sump Pump System to pump water up and out of the basement. To address the wall pressure problem, out installation team replaced the older support braces with new, PowerBraces to effectively stabilize the walls of the newly waterproofed basement. The homeowner was extremely happy with the results and he can't wait to use his basement space however he chooses now. Check out the before and after!
Joyce just finished her basement in Adair, IA, and wanted to reduce the musty smell in her basement. She decided to give Midwest a call because she didn’t want the smell to affect the basement and ruin any work. During the inspection Service Technician, Brandon Rost recommended a new SaniDry Dehumidifier, the old one was low on freon and kept icing up. Once the new dehumidifier was installed the humidity level was able to be controlled.
The floor of this garge simply crumbled and cracked during the installation of the waterproofing system. The original pour of this concrete was horrible. It was not mixed correctly and was certainly too thin. We completely removed the floor, waterproofed the garage and restored the floor.

Erin V. was having trouble with their sump pump working correctly. They missed their annual maintenance and needed to a quick fix before it rained again due to fears of causing damage to their home. So, they decided to call Midwest Foundation Repair.
Service Technician Ryan Allen arrived at the home and was able to see high amounts of sediment in pits. We installed 2 new sump pumps and also put a new battery in for the battery backup system. The team also clean out the pit and removed any debris and cleaned the area to ensure optimal operation for the systems. We were able to provide this customer a peace of mind knowing the system was back up and running again.
