A home in Berlin, CT with a roof over 20 years in age was due for a replacement.
Sally in Berlin, CT, reached out to us when it was time to replace the roof on her home and shed. Her roof was about 10 years old and already showing signs of wear, so she wanted to get ahead of any future issues. Our crew performed a full roof replacement on both structures, first removing two layers of old shingles before installing a brand-new roofing system. For the final look, Sally chose IKO Dynasty shingles in Granite Black, giving her home and shed a fresh, updated appearance and the long-lasting protection she needed. The Klaus Roofing Way!
Stanley in Kensington, CT, had been keeping a close eye on his roof, which was about 25 years old. Recently, he noticed mold growth on the backside, heavy black streaking, and gutters filling with granules from the aging shingles, all signs that the roof was nearing the end of its life. He reached out to Klaus Larsen Roofing for a consultation, and after reviewing the condition, we recommended a full roof replacement to protect the home from further damage. Our crew stripped the old shingles, sealed the roof deck with SealoronXT Ice & Water and VeloraONE Underlayment, and taped all seams with SealoronXT Deck Tape for added protection. Finally, we installed IKO Dynasty shingles in Biscayne, giving the home a fresh, vibrant new look with superior defense against algae and streaking. Now, Stanley’s home not only looks refreshed but is also fully secured with a roofing system built to last.
Sally in Berlin, CT, reached out when she learned her roof had two layers of shingles that needed to be removed. Even though the roof was only about 10 years old, it was already showing signs of wear. Our team stripped away both layers and replaced any damaged plywood before sealing the deck with SealoronXT Deck Tape. We then applied SealoronXT Ice & Water and VeloraONE Roof Underlayment for full leak protection. To complete the project, we installed IKO Dynasty shingles in Granite Black, giving Sally’s home a clean, updated look and a new roofing system that will last for decades. The Klaus Roofing Way!
Here was a gorgeous Colonial in East Granby, CT that had been suffering from an underperforming roof. Algae and moss were making a home in the seams between the 3-Tab shingles, which do not overlap like the architectural style that we work with. The underlying structure which the roof is supported by, otherwise called the decking, was refreshed with new CDX plywood. To prevent any stealth leaking we also re-flashed a medium-sized chimney. The shingles are made of an algae-resistant material, so this house will look (and perform) great for years to come!
