Our crew performed a full roof replacement on both structures, first removing two layers of old shingles before installing a brand-new roofing system. Here was a gorgeous Colonial in East Granby, CT that had been suffering from an underperforming roof. Algae and moss were making a home in the seams between the 3-Tab shingles, which do not overlap like the architectural style that we work with. The underlying structure which the roof is supported by, otherwise called the decking, was refreshed with new CDX plywood. To prevent any stealth leaking we also re-flashed a medium-sized chimney. The shingles are made of an algae-resistant material, so this house will look (and perform) great for years to come!
