Our client Ms. Belley contacted us because her crawl space needed insulation. We installed a drainage membrane and completely encapsulated the crawl space with a CleanSpace vapor barrier membrane. Then we installed a new sump pump system specifically made for crawl spaces. And to properly insulate the crawl space from the cold outside, we have installed insulation panels on all the walls.
Mr. Giguère contacted us because he had several problems in his crawl space:
Water seepage
Humidity
Floor sag
One of our specialists went for a free inspection and found the perfect solution:
-Installation of a new sump pump
-Complete encapsulation of the crawl space
-Installation of structural supports for crawl spaces
Like most basements, this one had water intrusions at the entrances. The owner contacted us to find out what we could do to resolve this problem. Our waterproofing system is installed above the footing, under the concrete. It thus captures all the water that rises from the ground before it reaches the surface and directs it to the water pump that we have installed at the lowest point. In order to prevent moisture from escaping into the house, we also installed a vapor barrier membrane on the walls.
There was humidity and water infiltration in this crawl space of a house in Verdun. This created an odor of dampness which was present in the house all the time. Mr. Chan's sump pump did not always work and had caused water damage in the past.
The solution for our client was to first replace their pump with our SuperSump sump pump system. This features a powerful ⅓ HP Zoeller cast-iron sump pump capable of pumping 8,300 liters of water out of your basement per hour, then our experts laid a drainage membrane on the floor in the ground of the crawl space. This membrane allows surface water to flow into the SuperSump and thus be forced out. They then installed our CleanSpace coating on top of the membrane. This helps lock in moisture from the soil, thus isolating the house from the earth. It also gives a clear and clean appearance to the crawl space. Finally, in order to filter the air and remove any moisture, our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed and connected to the SuperSump.
The floor of Mr. Hudson's house had been sagging for a long time. It was no longer straight and our client was having too much difficulty closing the doors and windows. There was high humidity in the crawl space.
Solution
Reinforce the structure of the house with our galvanized steel SmartJack pillars. Insulate and encapsulate the crawl space to reduce humidity and make it a storage space. The space will be drier and the air healthier.
