An animal burrowed under this homeowner's patio concrete, causing the concrete slab to sink. The homeowner noticed the animal running under the slab, and that the slab was a little unstable, so he decided to give us a call.
We sent System Design Specialist Spencer Johnson to inspect the concrete and determine how to fill the void the animal left under the concrete as well as how to prevent the animal from trying to burrow there again. Spencer found that the best way to do so is by lifting, leveling, and sealing the concrete with strong, nontoxic material that the animal couldn't break. He got right to work on injecting PolyLevel foam to fill the void, lift, and level the concrete, then he used NexusPro sealant to seal off the cracks and joints of the concrete.
The homeowner was very happy with the quality work that was done, and he can't wait to enjoy his patio once more. Check out the filled void in the concrete!
This homeowner's concrete was slanted toward the foundation and he was worried it would cause foundation problems. He was trying to find a way to redirect the water and came across Thrasher. We were able to lift the back slabs and the front steps so they are perfectly slanted to direct water away from the home.
Jim and his wife have been in their home for 25 years and plan for it to be their forever home. They wanted to preserve the value of the home, and also prevent further future issues. They also knew leaving concrete issues unaddressed will only make things worse. They called up Thrasher because they knew we were a reputable company. They wanted a wholistic solution to their concrete problems and knew we could provide that for them! System Design Specialist, Britton Wood, came out to meet with the couple. Britton determined the concrete slabs were settling and cracking due to a couple of reasons; poor compaction of soil, water washout of underlying soil, and dry out from lack of moisture during dry periods over the years. This can cause voids under the concrete slabs, causing them to settle from a lack of support. Britton proposed we use our 3-Part Concrete Protection System. PolyLevel foam to lift and level the slabs back to place, NexusPro to seal up joints and cracks, and SealantPro to protect the surface from pitting and flaking. This couple was overjoyed with the outcome of the project. They could tell the crew worked really hard and it looks great. There is no doubt this couple is enjoying their forever home worry free!
This homeowner wanted his back patio sealed because he was worried about water getting in his foundation and continuing to sink his patio. The problem was that the back patio had slightly settled and the previous caulking had hardened and cracked and no longer functioned properly. Our team cleaned out the old caulking which was challenging because it was so hard it was almost like cutting out concrete. We then installed NexusPro to properly seal the joints, creating a water-proof patio!
Jerry S. is a homeowner in Auburn, KS and wasn’t happy with the appearance of his driveway due to the cracks and use over time. Instead of replacing their driveway, they wanted to repair it to function properly once again. After getting a bid from Thrasher with our System Design Specialist, Ryan Galt, they immediately chose us because of our knowledge on the solution and trustworthy reputation.
The driveway had a sinking step, walkway, and slab on the top left of the driveway. The rest of the concrete was cracking and would get much worse with time. To fix these issues, our team installed our three-part concrete protection service. This service begins with our PolyLevel foam to permanently lift and level the sunken areas. Next, NexusPro is applied to fill all the cracks and joints to prevent any water from getting underneath in the future. Lastly, SealantPro is sprayed to cover the surface of the driveway to ensure its longevity by protecting it from surface damage and corrosion.
Jerry couldn’t have been happier with the appearance of the restored driveway. He was pleased with the variety and effectiveness of our services.
