System Design Specialist Louis D. created a plan to keep their space protected. We installed Foamax basement wall insulation which has a foil vapor barrier on the back to protect against moisture and humidity. First the old insulation was removed, and the attic was air-sealed where needed with ZypFoam. Any areas that could leak air into the home were filled in and around the chimney. Next, TruSoft Cellulose installation was blown in to reinsulate the area. TruSoft Cellulose is an environmentally friendly product made from recycled materials that are treated for fire resistance. Unlike typical fiberglass insulation that will melt when presented with a flame, TruSoft Cellulose insulation will resist the flame and won’t ignite.
