Old Orchard Beach, Maine homeowners wanted to improve their crawl space so they reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems for help. The crawl space already had an old plastic liner the owners were unhappy with, so they wanted to upgrade to a proper vapor barrier, as well as add a sump pump. We installed our two-step encapsulation system including drainage matting and CleanSpace vapor barrier. Drainage matting controls the groundwater and channels it to their new SmartSump pump to be removed away from the home. CleanSpace seals out moisture and also prevents mold growth to keep the crawl space structure and air healthy. 

A homeowner from Carrabassett Valley, ME recently purchased their house and reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems for a free estimate to waterproof their crawlspace and install a sump pump. Our System Design Specialist Nick C. met with the homeowner and created a plan to fully protect their crawlspace. 

CleanSpace with Drainage Matting was installed. Drainage Matting is a durable barrier with dimples to help channel water and elevate the CleanSpace, keeping it clean. CleanSpace is a durable, inorganic vapor barrier that gets attached to the walls and seals up the crawl space, keeping moisture out. A SmartSump was installed to capture water and pump it through the new Exterior Buried Discharge line. The Discharge line takes the water far from the home and with the installation of IceGuard, the entire system is protected against ice buildup in the winter. SprayFoam was installed on the rim joists and walls to insulate the area, keeping cold air out during the winter, making the space more comfortable, and saving the homeowner money on their energy bill. Finishing out the full waterproofing system was the installation of a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. The waterproofing was completed by foreman Greg D., Spray Foam Specialist Travis L., and installers Jason L. and Josh S. 

Gray, ME homeowners contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems to help keep their musty crawlspace dry. System Design Specialist Thomas R. met with the homeowners at their lakefront property, a prime location for water issues. To fully encapsulate the crawl space and keep moisture and critters out, CleanSpace with Drainage Matting was installed. System Design Specialist Stephen C. met with Scarborough, ME homeowners for a free estimate to address the water and moisture getting into their basement. They had damp dirt floors, along with crumbly stone walls. We poured a new slab to refresh the flooring, along with slab WaterGuard. We also installed a SuperSump Plus system that the WaterGuard channels water to. The SuperSump then brings water away from the home through an exterior discharge line, protected from freezing up in the winter with IceGuard. CleanSpace Wall System was installed on the walls to give a protective vapor barrier, sealing up the crumbling stone wall. Our Spray Foam Specialist Travis L. installed Spray Foam on the rim joists to insulate the space, keeping moisture out and providing energy savings. Lastly, we installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to control the humidity and reduce moisture. 

A Scarborough, ME homeowner contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems for support with both their basement and their crawlspace. The homeowner wanted to install spray foam insulation, as well as replace their old sump pump, and come up with a solution for the moisture in their crawlspace. 

System Design Specialist Michael P. helped assess the basement and the crawlspace to devise the best plan. We installed SprayFoam insulation around the rim joists and top of the walls in both areas, which creates an air and moisture tight seal, as well as insulates the area. We replaced their old sump pump with a new SuperSump systems with UltraSump batter back up. Lastly, we installed CleanSpace with drainage matting in the crawlspace to encapsulate the area and protect it from moisture.
