We jackhammered a new hole in the proper place for a brand new SmartSump pump system. Drainage matting was laid down on the floor, and then the space was encapsulated with CleanSpace vapor barrier. The final step in the process was installing SprayFoam insulation on the rim joists and walls to create an air tight seal and provide improved energy efficiency. The crawl space will now be dry and protected from mold or rot issues due to water.
