New Crawl Space in New Castle, ME

Owners in New Castle, ME reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems for help with their crawl space. The crawl space had a lot of ledge, as well as constant water intrusion issues. The CleanSpace liner is an inorganic material so it prevents mold growth, as well as seals out moisture. Drainage matting is installed underneath the liner to control and divert ground water.

Wet, Leaking Crawl Space Gets Waterproofed in Lyman, Maine

Lyman, Maine homeowners wanted help with their wet and leaking crawl space. We installed CleanSpace, a vapor barrier system that seals out moisture while also preventing mold growth. Spray Foam insulation was added on the walls and rim joists to create an air tight seal over all the old cinder blocks and field stones. Spray Foam insulation provides immediate energy efficiency savings.

Damp Harrison, ME Basement Kept Dry with CleanSpace Encapsulation

After experiencing dampness in their basement for some time, this Harrison, ME homeowner hired us at TC Hafford Basement Systems to solve their wet basement problem. To protect this space from moisture in the future, the existing slab was excavated from the basement to make room for a completely waterproof slab installation. With a freshly poured slab, our crew installed a Drainage Matting beneath the surface, along with a CleanSpace liner to wrap the walls of the basement. A SuperSump pump was also installed in the new floor, providing a means for any gathering moisture to be pumped out and away from the home. Now water leaking in through the walls or up from below the floor will be blocked by the new vapor barrier and redirected back out of the home through either the ground or the sump.

These basement upgrades will enable this homeowner to make use of their basement once again without the fear of water damage. The new vapor barrier will ensure their basement remains dry in the future!

Kittery Point Crawlspace Upgrade with CleanSpace

System Design Specialist Michael P. helped a Kittery Point, ME homeowner upgrade their wet and dingy crawlspace. The homeowner indicated there was moisture coming through the stone wall. They wanted to explore spray foam insulation and any other solutions that could help keep the space dry.

CleanSpace with Drainage Matting was installed to encapsulate the crawlspace. Drainage Matting is a durable barrier with dimples to help channel water and elevate the CleanSpace, keeping it clean. CleanSpace is a durable, inorganic vapor barrier that gets attached to the walls and seals up the crawl space, keeping moisture out. A SmartSump was installed to capture water and pump it through the new Exterior Buried Discharge line. The Discharge line takes the water far from the home and with the installation of IceGuard, the entire system is protected against ice buildup in the winter. SprayFoam insulation was installed to the rim joists and along the top of the walls to keep the space air tight and protected from moisture. Finishing off the waterproofing was the installation of a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier.

CleanSpace Liner Helps Optimize York, ME Crawlspace for Storage Use

With a musty, dirt floor crawlspace below their home, this York, ME homeowner wanted to make use of the space for storage. They called us at TC Hafford and our crew was able to provide the barrier they were searching for. To keep out moisture and debris to allow for safe storage, a CleanSpace liner was used to encapsulate the interior of the crawlspace after a Drainage Matting was laid across the floor. This will form a vapor barrier capable of keeping moisture out of the crawlspace interior while enabling any trapped moisture to drain back through the ground below. Next, Spray Foam was used to fill in gaps between the joists above the crawlspace. This will provide better insulation for the home and keep any temperature control within the home efficient.

Now that their crawlspace has been sealed off from the elements, this homeowner can make use of the space for storage without needing to worry about their property sustaining any long-term damage.
