Leaking Foundation Damages Basement Drywall in Davenport, IA Property

Drywall was installed in the basement after Clay and Deb had installed a waterproofing system. Over the years, the house had begun to settle, creating cracks in the foundation. Due to the walls covered by drywall, they did not realize that water was seeping in behind the finished walls. The drywall had become damaged and the floors were soaked. MidAmerica Basement Systems offered the installation of CleanSpace and EverLast Wall Panels to prevent further leakage and damage to the rest of the basement. CleanSpace was installed against the foundation wall, providing a moisture barrier between the concrete foundation wall and the EverLast Wall Panels. The EverLast Wall Panels were installed along the damaged area of the drywall, offering not only a beautiful new look, but a waterproof wall that will not be destroyed by moisture or mold.

Foundation Crack Is Sealed with Polyurethane Sealant to Prevent Seeping Water in Davenport, IA

Greg was noticing water seeping in his basement but didn’t know where it was coming from. As he investigated more, he found a large foundation crack and quickly reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems for help. As design specialist Chris inspected the crack, he offered him a polyurethane sealant solution. The special polyurethane sealant uses high-viscosity polymers that gets deep into the crack to form the ultimate, flexible bond. Polyurethane injections are more effective than typical hydraulic cements and epoxies because they flex and expand with the natural movement of the foundation during the freeze/thaw and wet/dry cycles. Polyurethane sealants also never dry out, creating a bond that will not allow the crack to become worse over time.
