Betty is a former customer that was noticing water seeping in the foundation walls of her basement. The water had nowhere to go, causing it to pool on the floor instead of reaching the sump pump to be discharged. It was proposed to her by MidAmerica Basement Systems that she have CleanSpace and WaterGuard installed to address the new issue. CleanSpace provides a vapor barrier between the wall and basement, preventing moisture from entering the area and helping direct water to the WaterGuard. WaterGuard was installed around the perimeter of the floor and wall joint to collect the water that we seeping in from the walls. Once it collects into the WaterGuard, it can be directed to the sump pump, and properly discharged.

A foundation crack had become present in Marty’s basement and quickly contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems. He was beginning to notice a small amount of water seepage and didn’t want it to become a larger problem. A WaterGuard and TripleSafe systems were offered to address the issue. The special wall flag that is offered with the WaterGuard system allows for water to be collected from the seeping wall, and redirected to the TripleSafe. Marty no longer has to worry about water seeping in his basement and ruining his belonging.

Finishing a basement before it is waterproofed is never a good choice. At some point the floors and walls will begin to leak, ruining the basement. As for Aj and Pat, this was just the case. The paneling that had be placed on the walls was hiding a leaking issue, slowly causing the finished walls to warp and rot. They contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to have their situation looked at. It was addressed that a foundation crack was causing the walls to leak and ruin the walls. A WaterGuard system was installed along the perimeter of the basement to collect any and all seeping water. A TripleSafe sump was also installed to discharge water out of the home.

An effective waterproofing system, it captures groundwater before it leaks onto your basement floor. It does this by directing ground water to the sump pump where it can be pumped out the basement. Homeowners can now finish their basement with peace of mind.
