Built in 1992, this beautiful home in Ellington, CT received a new roof from Klaus Larsen. This damaged plywood decking and shingles were replaced. This home is ready for any weather that may come to this New England town! 

Seeking a contractor to carry out a roof replacement, owners of this 1994 Colonial-style home trusted Klaus Larsen Roofing with the job. We started by tearing off one layer of existing roofing materials, as well as replacing 5 layers of damaged plywood decking.Next, we installed three rows of Ice & Water Barrier near roof valleys, eaves, chimneys, etc. For shingles, we installed Oakridge Shingles in the color Estate Gray. These shingles included an Algae-Resistance Limited Warranty as well as a 130 MPH Wind Resistance Warranty. Lastly, we removed and replaced flashing on the chimney with brand new lead flashing. This attractive home is now complete with its new Klaus Larsen roof installment!

The flashing here was in remiss, allowing water to seep in and cause damage. We applied wood shakes sourced from a cedar mill in British Columbia, and made sure the flashing around the chimney was renewed. Klaus Larsen works with all aspects of your roof. We used architectural-style asphalt Tan shingles on this Colchester, Connecticut home. High quality materials that last are a high priority for us.  

The entire front porch roof deck was treated with Ice & Water shield and we repaired the damaged collar ties in the attic. Collar ties are structurally important because they prevent the rafters of your attic from sagging. Uneven weight on top of your roof, such as large loads of snow, can cause them to sag and spread apart. They are recommended for roofs with up to approximately 18 foot spans. We also removed all existing chimney flashing and replaced it with new lead flashing.
