Christine in Red Hook reached out after noticing some missing shingle tabs on her roof. While there weren’t any active leaks yet, her roof was about 27 years old and starting to show signs of wear, including the early stages of ice dam formation during the winter months. With her home dating back to the 1800s, she wanted to be proactive and explore longer-lasting options, including the possibility of a metal roof.
After taking a closer look, it was clear the existing roofing system was nearing the end of its lifespan. Instead of waiting for leaks to develop, Christine decided it was the right time to move forward with a full roof replacement to better protect her home.
She chose IKO Dynasty shingles in the color Granite Black, paired with clean white drip edge metals to complement the character of her historic home. This new system not only gives the house a refreshed look but also provides reliable protection against future weather conditions, including ice dam concerns.
Now, Christine has peace of mind knowing her home is protected with a strong, updated roofing system built to last.
Gina and Robert in Yonkers, NY, were dealing with an active roof leak at both of their front doors. After years of patchwork, the roof had reached the point where a full roof replacement was the only solution. Our crew first tripped away three layers of old shingles on the rear main roof, making sure the decking underneath was still solid. From there, we sealed the plywood with SealoronXT Deck Tape and added SealoronXT Ice&Water around the roof's most vulnerable areas, and installed VeloraOne Roof Underlayment to lock out any leaks. With the roof fully protected, we installed the matte black IKO Dynatsy shingles with matching black drip metal. The result is a clean, updated look that fixes the leaks and gives Gina and Robert's home long-lasting protection. The Klaus Roofing Way!
Boris in Mohegan Lake, NY needed a Klaus Roofing upgrade, and with a roof that was 20 years old, it was time for a change. We installed Dynasty IKO Shingles, which not only gave Boris's home a fresh, new look but also top-notch protection. These shingles feature anti-algae components, so you won’t see any black marks or stains developing over time—they’ll stay looking brand new for years. Additionally, the shingles have an incredible hold, thanks to their Armour Zone, which helps installers place nails precisely. This feature allows them to withstand winds up to 130 MPH and is backed by a strong warranty. Boris chose Granite Black shingles, adding a striking contrast that makes his home stand out. John’s roof in Mohegan Lake, NY, was between 20 and 30 years old and showing signs of wear, so he reached out to get ahead of any major issues. We completed a full roof replacement using IKO shingles in the color Glacier, which gave his home a crisp, refreshed look. Underneath the shingles, we installed our full roofing system for long-lasting protection, including SealoronXT Ice & Water around the most vulnerable areas, VeloraONE Roof Underlayment across the rest of the deck, and SealoronXT Deck Tape to seal the plywood seams. John also upgraded his old skylights to brand-new Velux skylights with solar-powered blinds, improving both natural light and energy efficiency inside the home.
A homeowner in Dobbs Ferry, NY, reached out looking for a quote and evaluation for a detailed flat roofing project on their condo property. The work focused on replacing a section of the existing flat roofing system while also addressing several structural and exterior finish details tied into the roof area.
The project included replacing approximately 7.6 squares of EPDM roofing on the main building along with rebuilding one of the exterior decks connected to the roof system. To help improve drainage and overall functionality, our team also planned for the construction of a curb for an A/C condenser unit.
The roofing system was designed using ½-inch fiberboard insulation to help maintain the proper roof height and pitch while accommodating the custom frieze installation details. Plywood replacement was also planned as needed, depending on conditions and rafter spacing discovered during the installation process. The Klaus Roofing Way!
