Homes close to the ocean have to be prepared for surging storms, flooding, and hurricane waters. A homeowner in Ocean Gate, NJ hired Quality 1st Basement Systems to install SmartVent flood vents in their crawl space, to protect the home from potentially dangerous flood waters. During a flood, equalizing the pressure is the safest solution. When water is exerting pressure against a home's foundation, the foundation can crack and crumble, causing serious damage to the house.
