This Hightstown crawl space was damp, dirty and contained a lot of moisture. The homeowner was concerned with the air quality and was interested in crawl space encapsulation so they called Quality 1st Basement Systems. The Q1 team installed a CleanSpace liner to seal off and protect the crawl space as well as the foundation of the home. This creates a waterproof, dirt proof and moisture resistant area underneath the home. A SaniDry Dehumidifier now allows proper circulation of dry air and a TripleSafe Sump Pump will keep the crawl space dry.
A homeowner in East Windsor, NJ had an existing sump pump in their basement, but it was working poorly and there was often water in the well. To solve this problem, Quality 1st installed a new sump pump, TripleSafe. TripleSafe is a sump pump that provides three levels of protection for the basement. Meaning the TripleSafe has three pumps built in to provide full protection in case any of the pumps fail. Also, in case of a power outage the UltraSump battery backup sump pump, set at the highest level, will pump 11,500 gallons or more on a fully charged battery! With a new sump pump this basement will be free of water.
Too often we see basement windows allowing moisture and unwanted drafts inside a basement. Making sure your windows are properly sealed to prevent leaks is key. Our SunHouse Window Well is a great product to have on the outside of your basement window because it allows that natural light in all while keeping unwanted drafts and water out.
A homeowner in East Windsor, New Jersey noticed their stairs on the front porch were sinking. The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Chris Bowe, performed an inspection and saw that the concrete was settling into the soil. This can happen because when the soil underneath is too wet or too dry, or even poorly compacted, this creates weak soil. The weak soil cannot hold the weight of the concrete slab, which further causes the slab to settle and sink. Not only does this look unappealing to the home, but it creates a dangerous tripping hazard. Our foreman, Victor Leon, used the PolyLevel Injection to raise the sinking slab. PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam that is injected by drilling small, penny-sized holes below the slab to raise it back to the original level. Now, the homeowner can walk safely into their home without worrying about tripping.
