From Sinking to Supported

Cracks like these happen because the ground underneath keeps moving.

The soil goes through changes. When it rains, the soil soaks up water and expands. But when it's dry, it shrinks. This shrinkage makes gaps in the ground. So, the heavy concrete on top doesn't have enough support, and that leads to cracks and sinking into those gaps.

This can be a big problem, especially in busy places like a patio where people can trip. The good news is, we have a solution! We inject a structural foam under the concrete to fill those gaps and give the concrete the support it needs.

Concrete in Altoona, IA is Lifted and Sealed

Chris and Meghan S. were getting ready to put their home on the market. They were concerned that buyers would be concerned with the concrete on their driveway. Looking for a long-term solution that would get rid of any hesitation, they decided to call Thrasher Foundation Repair.

System Design Specialist Dan King went out to their home and was able to identify that the walkway was settling unevenly all the way up to the front door. There was also a broken area in the bottom of the driveway that needed to be lifted and leveled. The side slabs also had large voids underneath that needed to be closed. The crew applied PolyLevel to lift and level the settled concrete and fill the voids. Then we used NexusPro Joint Sealant to make sure all of the joints were sealed. Chris and Meghan were thrilled with the final look of the concrete!
