A customer was worried about their garage floor because there were big gaps around the edges, and they were afraid that rodents would sneak in during the winter. This homeowner just purchased his home and has big plans to fix it up. Before moving forward with his projects he wanted to address his chimney that is leaning away from the house. It's fairly common for fireplaces to settle and can be caused by several things. The back-fill soil could be sinking and no longer supporting the structure or the gutters and downspouts may not be moving water far enough from the foundation. To support this chimney, we installed two push piers. The push piers will permanently support the fireplace by taking soil out of the equation. 

This customer realized that one of his walls started pulling away from his house and was worried that the problem was going to cause extensive damage to the house. We discovered that settlement combined with the way the wing wall was built caused the wall to pull from the house. This issue also compromised the home's second-level deck. We stabilized this home's foundation by installing five push piers at the corner of the home.
