Jason was terrific to work with. Always got back to me as we signed up, scheduled and completed our roofing project in Hancock, MA. Completed project including replacing some 4 by 8’s which had some rot. Roof looks great. Project was two low slope roofs on our house.

J Smegal roofing company did a top quality job the crew they sent worked as a team fast and efficient from the first nail pulled to the last nail hammered in. They did an excellent job the foreman Jack Stimpson was very informative through the entire job and kept everything running smoothly. Afterwards walked us around the house and gave us advice on any trouble spots the house needed from gutter placement to touch up paint. They went above and beyond duty can't say enough good would highly recommend them, great job!

Klaus Roofing by J Smegal was the best phone call I could have made throughout my entire roofing experience! From start to finish Klaus Roofing was professional, Informative, and easy to work with. I had Jimbo as my roof estimator and he was a great person to talk with and went over all my options leaving me feeling comfortable with my choices by the end. I was assigned Jack as a project manager who oversaw the work the day the roof was being installed by his work crew. Jack was professional from start to finish and went out of his way to do some extra work for my situation. Jack was kind and answered any questions I had. Jack's work crew was amazing. Very hard working individuals, kind, and polite. They got a late start on my roof due to another person canceling in the morning. I was not scheduled to be done until the day after, however, even showing up later than they normally would my roof was completed in less than 8 hours from start to finish clean up and all. By dinner I could not even tell anyone was in my yard that day. I just had a new roof. Now my roof has a warranty for 50 years. If anything goes wrong they come up to fix it. The roof looks amazing and I could not thank everyone involved enough for the experience and help we received. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to get a new shingle roof!

I came home from a long day of teaching to find water leaking from the ceiling in the kitchen. Did I mention I was going out of town for two weeks in 36 hours? I was a bit panicked, since it was 7pm and who is going to answer their phone at 7pm? I called J. Smegal Roofing thinking I would just leave a message and hope for a callback. But Jason answered! He diagnosed the problem on the phone (ice dam), and agreed to come out at 7:30am the next morning. He took a look at the problem inside and out and told me what I needed to do, and that the leak was small and not to worry. I was thankful and offered to pay for the service call, but he refused. I cannot recommend Jason highly enough. He’s young and ambitious - you won’t be disappointed!

Before hiring Jason, I knew nothing about this company except what I read in the reviews here and what Jason said about his business/philosophy, which I liked enough to make him my first choice to call. I needed a roof replacement, and despite a heavy schedule ahead of him, he worked me in. I can’t say enough for the professionalism and find work he and his crew did. They showed up as promised, worked efficiently without rushing, and thoroughly cleaned the work site. I had a chance to chat with the crew over lunch and they were all nice folks who take pride in what they do - Jason is clearly very good at choosing the right people to create a great team. I would hire J Smegal Roofing & Renovations again anytime.

The craftsmanship is outstanding. My yard was left with not a hint that my entire roof had been replaced, no debris, no nails or screws, and no damage to my shrubs or plants.
