Crawl Space Stabilization in Appleton, Maine

When the homeowner in Appleton, Maine, first contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems, their crawl space was a major concern. They had noticed uneven floors and signs of moisture buildup, which could lead to long-term damage if not addressed. The crawl space had no moisture barrier in place, and the support beams were beginning to weaken under the strain. Without proper protection, the space was prone to mold growth and structural instability, making the home’s foundation vulnerable.

Following our comprehensive evaluation, we installed a SmartJack system, providing the essential support to stabilize the floor above and correct the unevenness that had been a source of worry. Next, we fitted the CleanSpace liner system, which sealed off the crawl space from outside moisture, ensuring a dry and healthy environment. Finally, the installation of the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier guaranteed that humidity levels would stay low, keeping the crawl space mold-free and well-protected.

The transformation was remarkable. What was once an unstable and damp space became a solid, dry, and secure foundation for the home. The homeowner was greatly satisfied with the end result, knowing that their crawl space was not only stabilized but fully protected against future issues.

Free From Water Issues in Freedom, ME Crawl Space

Homeowners in Freedom, ME reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems after being highly recommended by their neighbors. Their crawl space needed sealing to protect against water intrusion and damage. We installed our two-step encapsulation system with drainage matting and a CleanSpace liner. Drainage matting helps channel groundwater underneath the CleanSpace liner directly to the new SmartSump with UltraSump battery back up. The SmartSump pumps water away from the home so it will not cause any damage. The CleanSpace liner seals water out, and is an inorganic material that prevents mold growth within the crawl space.

Damp Corinna, ME Crawlspace Kept Water-Free with CleanSpace & TripleSafe Installation

This Corinna, ME homeowner had a crawlspace below their home without any form of moisture protection. This led to them experiencing a musty smell coming from the space as the dampness worsened over time. Wanting something done about this, the homeowner called us at TC Hafford Basement Systems, and we got right to work! To begin the process of properly waterproofing the space below this home, the dirt floor of the crawlspace was graded until it was flat. Next, to provide a moisture barrier a Drainage matting was laid across the floor and a CleanSpace liner was used to encapsulate the interior of the crawlspace. This formed a water-tight seal to prevent future moisture from leaking into and persisting within the crawlspace. A TripleSafe sump pump was then installed in the floor of the space. This pump will remove any moisture collected beneath the home and force it out of the home through a discharge line fitted with an IceGuard protective pipe. This pipe then terminates through a LawnScape port where the water can harmlessly drain back into the ground a distance from the home.

With their now-waterproof crawlspace, this homeowner should no longer suffer from a musty smell in their home caused by excess moisture. Any water gathering below the home will be swiftly pumped outside where it will stay!
