Foundation cracks are common due to the curing process of concrete over the years, but when the cause groundwater to leak in, it is best to have the issue address sooner rather than later. Injecting a FlexiSpan sealant not only waterproofs the foundation crack, but permanently seals the crack. The high-viscosity polyurethane polymer sealant sets deep into the crack, with a durable, flexible strength. This allows for the FlexiSpan to expand and shrink with the cold and warm, frost and thaw cycles that are commonly found in Illinois. Without the flexibility, the cracks would reopen and become larger over time.
Terri came home from work one day to find that her sump pump had quit working during a large rain storm, leaving a mess everywhere in her basement. She quickly contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to have her sump replaced. Adao had proposed installing a SuperSump with an UltraSump Battery Back-up and WaterWatch. With a new sump pump, Terri will not have to worry about her pump going out, especially during a power outage. The UltraSump Battery Back-up allows for the pump to continue discharging water from the home when there is not electricity. The WaterWatch will also alerts when the pump has not turned on, helping prevent any floods from happening.
The storage room at All Makes Office Furniture has leaked for many years, and was left unattended, leaving the area “just-right” for mold to grow. When MidAmerica Basement Systems crew members arrived, Mold X was applied to all the affected walls before they could go any further with the process. Trenches were dug around the perimeter of the foundation so WaterGuard could be installed. CleanSpace was applied to all the walls, preventing moisture from entering, and to help prevent future mold growth. Two TripleSafe sumps were installed with the original sump, to properly accommodate the amounts of water the enter the building. The waterproofing systems have dramatically changed the environment of the storage room, allowing from a dry and usable space.
Jennifer is the community’s building manager of the Boy and Girls Club of the Mississippi Valley (BGCMV) and was having issues with the Moline, IL location. On one side of the building, water would leak instead, making the area unsafe for the participating children. She quickly reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to have the area waterproofed. CleanSpace was placed along the leaking wall to help prevent water from appearing on the floor, and help prevent excess moisture. WaterGuard was placed along the wall and floor joint, and attached to the CleanSpace. After water ran down the wall, it could collect in the WaterGuard to be redirected to the TripleSafe sump. The TripleSafe properly discharged the water out of the building, allowing for a dry and safe environment for the children. With the help from MidAmerica Basement Systems, the BGCMV could remain open for children of all ages.
Bill has always had a sump pump in his basement to keep it dry. But lately he was noticing not only his sump pump backing up, but the battery backup was failing too. He reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems for help. While his sump was being inspected, it was addressed that a new pump was needed in order to keep the basement dry. A new Zoeller M98 Pump would provide the appropriate power needed to discharge water out of Bill’s basement. He was also offered a UltraSump. An UltraSump is a battery backup pump that will continue to discharge water out of the home during power outages.
