System Design Specialist Ryan Nolen first evaluated the property to pinpoint the cause of the settlement and mapped out a precise restoration plan. From there, our expert production crew, led by Foreman Chris Allen and featuring crew member Markell, took over execution.

First, the team utilized our PolyLevel® system to lift and level the sunken concrete slabs efficiently, stabilizing the subgrade underneath and completely eliminating the trip hazard. Once the slabs were perfectly flush, Chris and Markell applied NexusPro® Joint Sealant across the joints to ensure the surface remains completely water-resistant and resilient against future shifting or cracking.

Homeowners Norman recently contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to learn more about the concrete repair options offered. His pool deck was sinking and cracking and it was a trip hazard. He decided that it was time to have the concrete looked at. The polyurethane is pumped under the concrete and lifts and levels the slab. After the slab is lifted the joints of the slabs are sealed with Sealant Pro. 

First impressions start at the front door, but for a homeowner in Lost Nation, IA, a sinking front step was making for a shaky welcome. A shifting entrance isn't just an eyesore; it’s a safety hazard that can make anyone feel a bit uneasy.

We stepped in to smooth things over with a two-part solution:

PolyLevel Protection: Our team injected high-density polyurethane foam to lift and stabilize the unbalanced slab, returning it to its original height.

Compression Guard: We installed this specialized joint filler to allow for natural expansion and contraction, preventing future cracks and keeping the finish looking flawless.

Tom and Sonja were noticing some uneven areas on their driveway and sidewalk, making it dangerous for them and their guests to walk. They called MidAmerica Basement Systems to have their concrete lifted and leveled. During their evaluation, they were introduced to the new PolyLevel solution. PolyLevel uses a lightweight foam that stabilizes sunken slabs by filling the voids, adhering to the soil, and lifting the concrete back to its desired state. Because the material adheres to the ground, it provides a longer lasting solution than typical mudjacking. Now Tom and Sonja have a leveled driveway and sidewalk once again.

In the camping grounds, there is a sheltered pavilion on a concrete slab. Over the years, the ground had settled, causing voids underneath the slab. Due to the weight of the pavilion, the slab started cracking and sinking into the voids, leaving for a hazardous area to use. Grounds keeper Mike reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems in hopes that PolyLevel would be able to fix the sunken and cracked slab. PolyLevel was injected under the slab to fill the voids. Once the voids were filled, the PolyLevel expanded to lift the sunken areas, and provide a stable solution for the slab. NexusPro Joint Sealant was then applied to all cracks around the slab to help create a longer lasting slab for the pavilion.
