Allen B. of Frontenac, Missouri discovered that his basement was collecting water after heavy rain showers. He did not want to have to clean up a mess every time it stormed, so he called Woods Basement Systems.
Design specialist Jake S. assessed the situation and decided that a full waterproofing system would solve all the problems that the homeowner was facing. Foreman William H. then traveled to the home to get the project started.
The Waterguard drainage system, pictured above, is one of the key parts of the waterproofing system. The Waterguard drainage system was placed below the footing of the basement and was then covered with concrete. It collects any water coming up from the ground before it reaches the surface of the basement. It then drains it to the sump pump.
Allen B. no longer has to worry about his home's basement flooding. He now has a dry and waterproof basement.
St. Louis, MO homeowner Dawn was concerned about her wet basement. She gave Woods Basement Systems a call and System Design Specialist Adam R. determined where the water could be coming from and developed a plan for Dawn.
Foreman Miguel O. and his crew solved one area by installing an exterior trench drain at the garage entrance.
When water does not drain properly, it can pool at the foundation. This happens because the backfill soil around the home is not as compact, so there are more openings for water to get into to. Since water wants to be level, when it gets into this backfill area it will find anyway possible to level. This often means coming through the foundation from cracks, gaps, holes, and through the pourous materials.
By installing an exterior drain and a discharge line, we can collect this water and direct it downhill before it has a chance to cause any problems.
Along with waterproofing with CleanSpace, WaterGuard, and a TwinPack sump pump, Dawn know is assured her basement will remain dry.
Saint Louis homeowner Dawn experienced a wet basement. She gave Woods Basement Systems a call and System Design Specialist Adam R. developed a plan perfect to keep her basement dry.
As part of that system, Foreman Miguel O. and his crew installed WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement. WaterGuard is a basement drainage system unlike any other.
It is designed with holes in the back to allow only water to enter the system. This makes sure the system does not clog. It is able to collect water seeping in from below, behind, and coming down the walls. When combined with CleanSpace, this increases the water collected by the system.
The WaterGuard will drain to the TwinPack sump pump, where it will be discharged outside and away from the home.
With her full system, Dawn knows her basement will remain dry.
An unfinished section of this St. Louis, Missouri basement was experiencing water leaks through the wall. To solve this issue, Team Woods installed a CleanSpace encapsulation system onto the leaky wall along with WaterGuard drains. This duo will protect the basement from mold growth and water damage that would negatively impact the entire house.
Nancy B. of Saint Louis, Missouri was having problems with water entering her garage and puddling up after it rained. This is a common problem for many homeowners with garages, built without the intention of water entering the space. After a recommendation from a neighbor, she decided to call Woods Basement Systems.
We installed our patented waterproofing system, as well as a drainage system at the front of the garage. These items will work together to keep the garage dry and clean. Now, Nancy can store items in her garage without fear of them becoming damaged or wet.
