In the picturesque town of Bethel, known for its severe winters and relentless storms, Brown Roofing took on the challenge of restoring a weather-worn chimney on a crisp September morning. The chimney’s cracked concrete crown and rusted flue cover had suffered extensively from the harsh climate. The team from Brown Roofing meticulously removed the damaged crown and applied a new, durable concrete blend, while also replacing the old flue cover with a high-quality stainless-steel one. Their expert craftsmanship revitalized the chimney, ensuring it was both aesthetically pleasing and resilient against Bethel's demanding weather. As winter set in, the homeowners enjoyed their cozy fires with the assurance that their newly restored chimney was well-prepared to face the elements.
Our team took care of this homeowner's moss-covered, shingle-damaged roof that had a few leaks here and there. The damages to this roof include moss and algae growth along with a few broken shingles. The first step in this transformation was ripping up the old shingles and getting a good look at the decking layer beneath it. After inspecting the decking layer it was deemed necessary to replace many of the sheets of plywood that make up this layer. Once repaired we began laying the underlayment and the Ice and Water. These two layers help further seal the roof from the elements. Finally, we installed the shingles and flashings. The shingles are layered from bottom to top to ensure the water runs off the roof properly. With this brand new roof, this homeowner can be certain that they will be dry and safe, especially since their roof comes with a 50-year warranty.
Project Manager Noel and his crew headed to Cornwall for Kenneth's much-needed roof replacement. Years of shade from the surrounding forest had led to moss, algae, and heavy staining, with red squirrels making themselves at home. Kenneth worked with sales specialist John to design the perfect plan, and Noel’s team brought it to life. They installed durable CDX plywood decking, topped with premium IKO Dynasty shingles. Now, Kenneth’s roof is not only beautiful but built to withstand the elements and stay sturdy and moss-free (and squirrel-free!) for years. Brown Won't Let You Down!
The Brown Roofing team was thrilled to assist Barry in Southbury with his total house makeover, which included not only a new roof but also a brand-new gutter system. Barry’s old gutters had been worn down, clogged easily, and damaged by harsh Connecticut storms. He chose a 6K gutter system, which is 6 inches wide - larger than the standard 5K gutters - and ideal for handling more water runoff, perfect for areas with heavy rainfall. To top it off, our team installed a wide-mouth outlet, four times larger than the standard, ensuring optimal water flow. Now, Barry can rest easy knowing his premium gutters are expertly installed and clog-free guaranteed. Brown Won't Let You Down!
