This roof replacement in Chaplin was unique because the owners used what is called a 203K loan. A 203K is a home improvement loan that was used to replace the roof along with several other projects. Klaus Larsen Roofing is registered to handle 203K loans and even offers financing.
This house in Chaplin needed a ridge vent and a new roofing system for the gabled roof (on the right). This home in Waterford, Connecticut was in need of a roof & skylight installation. After tearing off and disposing of one layer of asphalt roofing, we replaced all damaged sheets of plywood decking. In accordance with the new building codes, we taped all roof deck joints with flashing tape. We then installed 2 rows of ice & water barrier near all roof eaves, valleys, chimneys, etc. In terms of shingles, we installed a Klaus Larsen Roofing System with IKO Cambridge Architectural Shingles in the color Brown. In terms of skylights, we installed 2 brand new Velux C04 Fresh Air Deck Mount VS Skylights. We finished the job by removing the existing vent pipe boot & replaced it with a brand new Perma-Boot. The roof on this modular home in Montville, CT still appeared sound aesthetically, but had been experiencing some ongoing leakage.
