Here was a condo in Manchester, CT where the existing roof was malfunctioning. The first step was to tear off the original shingles, to be recycled into asphalt for paving CT roads. Klaus Larsen applied a combination of Ice & Water shield and underlayment to protect the plywood decking against moisture. We also replaced the vent pipe boots and added a VentSure Ridge Vent to increase ventilation and reduce the buildup of condensation. The shingles used here were GAF Timberline HD in Charcoal.
This small home in Manchester had 2 layers of shingles and needed new intake vents in the soffit. We replaced the ridge vents and installed new Cobra Fascia vents. Also, new aluminum seamless gutters were installed on the house.
This 2-family home had a layer of asphalt shingles on top of cedar shake roof. Under the cedar shakes, there was no plywood only furring strips. Before we could install the new shingles, new plywood had to be installed over the furring strips to strengthen the roof deck before the new architectural shingles could be nailed on.
Built in 1924, this multi-family home was in need of a new roof. We started by tearing off 3 layers of existing roofing materials, as well as replacing any damaged plywood decking. We then installed 2 rows of Ice & Water Barrier near all eaves, valleys, chimneys etc. We installed a Klaus Larsen Roofing System with Cambridge Architectural Shingles in the color Dual Grey. Lastly, we removed and replaced all flashing around the chimney with brand new lead flashing. This house is now complete thanks to Klaus Larsen Roofing!
