The roof on this home in East Hampton, CT was about 10 years old when the owners reached out to Klaus Larsen. There was leaking around the chimney and the owners were concerned about the roof and what damage could be happening because of the water. After replacing the damaged plywood decking with new material, three rows of Ice & Water was installed, along with a ProArmor Synthetic Underlayment designed to repel water. The old chimney flashing was removed and replaced with new, lead flashing. A Ridge Vent was installed as well, providing a moisture barrier and attic ventilation. Architectural-style asphalt shingles in the color of Onyx Black, were installed.
At this colonial-style home located in East Hampton, CT they were in desperate need of a new roof. Once the Klaus Larsen crew arrived, they began stripping the existing roof and replaced 5 sheets of damaged plywood to build a good foundation for the shingles. To protect the interior of the home from any outside moisture we laid down three rows of Ice & Water Shield. For shingles, we installed Onyx Black. This home also had a lot of pre-existing skylights that needed to be replaced and reflashed. To top-it-off, we removed and replaced the old chimney flashing with new lead flashing.
