Uncle Ron

Uncle Ron brings decades of roofing experience to his role as Estimator at J. Smegal Contracting.

Based in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, he previously owned and operated his own roofing company for many years. As the work became more physically demanding with time, he joined our team at the invitation of his nephew, Jason, bringing his expertise and passion for the trade along with him.

He holds extensive knowledge of roofing and installation, as well as certification in the Klaus Roofing System Way. Over his three years with us, Uncle Ron has become an valuable team member, helping measure jobs, inspect projects, and meet with customers to ensure everything runs smoothly. He enjoys visiting job sites, supporting the team, and being a part of each project from start to finish.

What Uncle Ron enjoys most about his job is being outdoors and meeting new people. Outside of work, he loves golfing, spending time with his wife and family, and embracing every day with energy and gratitude.
