Job review from Sandy in Joliet, IL on 11/25/25

Thanks to Dustin at Savage Roofing he listened and figured out what to do when I was left with a disaster of water leaking into the house (from a bad roof replacement now 2x) by (soon to be x-spouse) construction decisions both times 2009 &2024. I found out the 2009 roof replacement was bad in 2020 when wind storm and hail damage happened. Court ordered new roof and it was put on in 2024 and it leaked, trying to get stb-x to take responsibility was terrible, he signed the contract and designated the repairs. (Here we go again) back to fighting.TERRIBLE DECISIONS: Including the 8 vents added (designated by the stb-x and without my knowledge.) Which made the house cold, vents leaked and were not correct to the house's original construction for airflow. Dustin showed me that one vent was installed incorrectly as well. The Widow's walk was left unreplaced and gaps were left open so water could waterfall in, Thank you plastic bins!( I was never told it wasn't completed.) I figured it out something was wrong being rained on in my sleep (ice cold rain)I was left out of the decions by stb-x and the roofers. (2024)TIME to find a real roofer - So I called a well known high rated company I had dealt with many years prior. (Stb-x) also knew them. Now THEY would handle this issue like nothing. Uh, guess not.I was told it had to be tarped, so I got tarps, I wait.So I was left to the last minute in the season and they played the ghosting game (fall season) and FINALLY they called after I texted the sales man and he didnt call back right away (say a week later ) and told me they cant do it. Thanks PAL!I called Savage Roofing and they did everything to stop the leaks until the replacement can be made in the spring (when weather will allow). I will always be greatful for the action of Savage, when everyone else left me stranded.Thank You Savage Roofing!!I will be fighting to get the new roof for next year.
